Funeral services for Mrs. Ida
Searls, 33. and her infant son, Steven,
were held at 2 p.m. Monday at
Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron.
Rev. David Roy officiated and
burial was in Riverside cemetery
under the direction of Lewison funeral
home.

Mrs. Searls died at a hospital
Friday morning following the birth
of a son. She was born October 9,
1925 at Coleridge. Neb. She lived
in Sioux City for two years. She
was married to William Searls on
April 1, 1956 at Coleridge.

Survivors include the widower, a
son. John Richard; a daughter,
Catherine Joan; her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Richard Meir; a sister
Mrs. Wilhelmina Provancha of Port-
mouth, O.; and four brothers. James'
J. Meir of Hartington. Neb; Lloyd;
Meir of Alexandria, Va.. Merlin Meir
of Norfolk, Neb. and Richard G. Meir
of Ogallala. Neb.
