Roberta Willett, 70, of Le Mars, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Roberta Lou Willett was born Jan. 24, 1940, on the family farm near Westfield, the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Dunham) Crow. Roberta attended and graduated from Liberty Consolidated High School, rural Merrill in 1959. As a young woman, Roberta lived in Sioux City and worked as a nanny and worked for St. Luke's Hospital as a nurse's aid for a several years.

In 1978, Roberta began her 21-year career with K-Products in Marcus, working mostly as an emblem inspector. She retired in 1999.

Roberta enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandson Christopher. She also enjoyed doing embroidery, having crafted numerous dish towels and pillow cases for family and friends.

Roberta was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in Le Mars, where she has served as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendant and Mission Society treasurer.

She has cooked the annual Easter Breakfast at church for several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Melody Willett and grandson Christopher, of Le Mars; three sisters, Donna Holtz, of Merrill, Ruth Perrill and her husband, Alan, of Newport, Ore., and Lois Galles and her husband, Bill, of Le Mars; two brothers, Charles Crow, of Merrill and Dennis Crow and his wife, Pam, of Lake Forest, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth (Dunham) Crow; two husbands, David Willett and Robert Bundy; a brother, Richard Crow; a brother-in-law, Dale Holtz; and two nieces, Debra Holtz and Diane Fischer.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with the Rev. Leonard Waller of the Church of the Nazarene in Le Mars, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Visitations will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with the family present to greet friends after 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
