Mrs. Emma Borchers Dies; Services Held in Preston Township

Mrs. Emma Helen Borchers, 71, died Friday, March 21, 1952, at her home at 115 Fourth Ave, N.W.

She had been in ill health the past two years and was bedfast the last 10 months.

The daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry Collmann, she was born January 14, 1881, in Preston township, Plymouth county. Her marriage to Lewis Borchers took place February 27, 1902, at Christ Lutheran church in Grant township.

She had made her home in Preston township until moving to LeMars in 1942. A charter member of St John's Lutheran Ladies aid of Preston township, she was baptised June 26, 1881, confirmed March 29, 1896, at Grant Lutheran church.,

Mrs. Borchers was prceded in death by her husband, Lewis, one son, Harvey and three sisters and one brother.

Surviving are three sons and one daughter; William B and Bernard both of LeMars, Henry G. of Akron, and Mrs. Clifford (Helen) Noble. Also surviving are three brothers, Louis Collmann of Hartley, Henry Collmann of Akron, Albert Collmann of LeMars; two sister, Mrs. Henry Theilen of LeMars and Mrs. Ben Theilen of Clarkfield, Minn and 22 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, 1952, at 3 p.m. at St John's Amerian Lutheran church in Preston township with Rev. E. J. Beckmann officiatikng. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Maurer's funeral home.
