ELMER C. THOMS

LE MARS, Iowa—Elmer C. Thoms, 78, of LeMars died Saturday night at a LeMars hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Mauer Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Paul Sieveking will officiate. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Thoms was born April 5, 1900, at rural LeMars and was a life long Plymouth County resident. He married Florence Brown on Aug. 11, 1933, at LeMars. The couple lived in the LeMars area until retiring to town in 1957.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Jerry of LeMars; two daughters, Miss Janice Thoms of LeMars and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Harrison of Fort Dodge; four brothers, Harry and Maynard, both of LeMars, Homer of Merrill, and Wallace of Fargo, N.D.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
