He was employed with Sears and Roebuck, first in the delivery department for 23 years and later as a service advisor for seven years. He retired in 1991 after 30 years. He was presently employed as a maintenance supervisor with Charlie Zook Motors.

SURVIVORS: …include his wife; a son Jason of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Joel Morris of LeMars; two brothers and their wives, Marlin and Mary Lou of Beatrice, Neb., and Ervin and Linda of Bondurant, Iowa; and a sister, Doris Dau of LeMars.
