DR. DWIGHT L. LADENBERGER, RETIRED DENTIST, DIES SUNDAY

Dr. Dwight L. Ladenberger, 68, who had practiced dentistry in LeMars since 1932 until his health failed 6 ½ years ago, died Sunday (April 7, 1974) at Floyd Valley Hospital. He had been hospitalized since March 26.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mauer funeral chapel. Rev. Ralph Nelson of the United Presbyterian Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Dr. Ladenberger was a life member of the Iowa Dental Assn. and a member of the northwest district dental society, Lions club and Elks lodge.

He was born Nov. 23, 1905, at Lisbon, N.D., the son of Charles and Agnes Weber Ladenberger. The family moved to LeMars when Dwight was 12 years old and he had lived here since.

His graduation from LeMars high school was in 1926. He attended Western Union college (now Westmar) and earned his DDS from the University of Iowa in 1931. He practiced dentistry one year at Greenfield, Iowa, before returning to LeMars to open his dental office.

His marriage to Bernice Lundquist took place Aug. 31, 1939, in LeMars.

Surviving are his wife of 934 3rd Ave. SE; a brother Donald of Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Willis (Della) Fox of Hot Springs, S.D.; and two nephews, Donald Fox of San Francisco, and Donald John Ladenberger, Los Angeles.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
