CASPER A. PATTEN

REMSEN, Iowa—Casper A. Patten, 87, Remsen, died March 2, at a LeMars hospital following a brief illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. March 5, at Mauer Funeral Chapel, LeMars. The Rev. Everett Staats will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Patten was born July 20, 1886, at Breckenridge, Mo. He came to LeMars 46 years ago. He was employed as a cook and had lived the last few years at a retirement home here.

He was married to Hannah Post June 28, 1927, at Canton, S.D. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Eagles Club, the Last Man’s Club, Wasmer Post American Legion, LeMars, and VFW, Remsen.

Survivors include the widow and a sister, Mrs. Maude Jones of White City, Kans.
