Funeral services for Edith Hamer, 89, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Mauer funeral chapel in Le Mars. Rev. Ralph Nelson will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery.
Mrs. Hamer, the former Edith Wilde, died June 3, 1980, at Imperial, Calif., where she had lived the last 38 years.
She was born Dec. 27, 1890 in Grant township, Plymouth county, to Charles W. and Wilhelmine Mandelkow Wilde. She married Henry G. Hamer. He died in April, 1941 and at that time Mrs. Hamer moved to California.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Irene; a brother Carl and a sister, Wilhelmine Utech.
Survivors are her son, Carl Hamer and her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Stedman both of Imperial and a brother, Lawrence Wilde of Le Mars. There are several nieces and nephews.
