Evan D. Klemme, 5-week old son of Daniel and Jennifer (Bernard) Klemme, died suddenly Friday, September 19, 2008 at his home in Akron, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. Reverend Tanya Sherrill and Reverend Jerry Crow will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Preston Township, rural Akron, Iowa. Visitations with the family present will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa.

Evan Dean Klemme was born August 15, 2008 in Sioux City, one of twins born to Daniel and Jennifer (Bernard) Klemme.

Survivors include his parents, Dan and Jennifer Klemme of Akron; twin sister: Emma; 3 brothers: Logan, Cameron, and Tanner; maternal grandparents: Paul and Rebecca Bernard of Akron; paternal grandparents: Daniel Klemme of Akron, Mona Brice and her husband Matthew of Chatsworth, IA; great-grandparents: Arlene Klemme of Akron, Ruth Moore of Akron, Charlie and Esther Moriston of McCook Lake, SD, and Jim and Pat Welch of Akron; 2 uncles: Dana Klemme and Benjamin Bernard of Akron; 3 aunts: Beth Reeves and her husband Ray of Atlanta, GA, Cheyenne Brice of Chatsworth, IA, and Morgan Bernard of Akron; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death his paternal great-grandfather: Dale Klemme; and maternal great-grandfathers: Dr. Jack T. Moore and Phillip Bernard.
