MRS. ALVA J. ROLLINS

LE MARS, Iowa—Special: Mrs. Alva J. Rollins, 62, Route 3, LeMars, died Friday morning at an Akron, Iowa, hospital after a four-month illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Adaville United Brethren Church, rural Merrill, Iowa. The Rev. Leland Eyres will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at Merrill. A prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the Mauer Funeral Home at LeMars.

Mrs. Rollins, the former Myra Donlin, was born Nov. 10, 1905, in Marcus, Iowa. She was married in 1924 at Dakota City. She was a homemaker and also had been a nurses aid at St. Luke’s Medical Center, East, in Sioux City before her illness. She spent most of her life in Plymouth and Woodbury Counties.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Colin Collmann of Ireton, Iowa, and Mrs. Lowell Baldwin of rural Merrill; five sons, Lester of LeMars, Frank and John of Akron, Harold of Sioux City, and Paul at home; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin Winterfeld of Craig, Iowa, and Mrs. Herbert Kehrberg of LeMars; two brothers, Jay of Merrill and William of LeMars; 23 grandchildren; and one great grandson.

MRS. MYRA ROLLINS DIES AT HOSPITAL;
RITES SET MONDAY

Mrs. Myra Evaline Rollins, 62, of route 3, Le Mars, died Friday at the Akron
hospital after an illness of four months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Adaville
Evangelical United Brethren church, with Rev. Leland Eyres officiating. Burial
will be in the Merrill Hillside cemetery.

There will be a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer funeral home.

Myra E. Donlin was born Nov. 10, 1905, at Marcus, a daughter of the late
Joseph and martha Woodall Donlin.

Her marriage to Alva J. Rollins took place in 1924 at Dakota City, Neb. She
had lived in Plymouth and Woodbury counties since her marriage.

Mrs. Rollins has been employed as a nurse's aid at Sioux City St. Luke east
hospital.

She was a member of the Adaville EUB church and Women's Society of World
Service.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Collin (Phyllis) Collmann,
Ireton, and Mrs. Lowell (Joyce) Baldwin, rural Merrill; five sons, Lester of
Le Mars, Frank and John, both of Akron, Harold of Sioux City and Paul, at the
home in Johnson township; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Alvin (Selina)
Winterfeld, Craig; Mrs. Herbert (Nellie) Kehrberg and William Donlin, both of
Le Mars, and Jay Donlin, Merrill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters and two
grandchildren.
