Obituary:

Mrs. T.B. (Alice) Byrne of 37 1st Ave N.W. in LeMars passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital on August 26, 1959, after being hospitalized for only two days. Mrs. Bryne had been ailing for the past four years.

Mr. and Mrs. Byrne had observed their 50th Golden wedding anniversary only last Sunday.

Alice Tucker was born March 23, 1892, in Akron. She was married to T.B. Byrne on August 25, 1909, in Sioux City. Her parents were the late Mary Elizabeth Underwood Tucker and Eli Tucker. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Methodist Church, LeMars.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home with Rev. R.V. Gildner officiating. Burial will be in the LeMars City Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, T.B. Byrne and a son, Harley Byrne and a daughter, Myrna Byrne all of LeMars; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Dan Royer of Winnebago, Minnesota, Mrs. Walter Harvey of Marcus, and Mrs. Leon Jenkens of Barrett, Minnesota; four brothers, George Tucker of Sioux City, W.P. Tucker of Akron, A.A. Tucker of Madison, South Dakota, and Charles Tucker of LeMars. She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley, in infancy.
