MRS. PEARL TUCKER

AKRON, Iowa—Mrs. Pearl Tucker, 94, of Akron, died unexpectedly Saturday in a hospital in Madison, S.D.

She had been visiting her sisters in Madison.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church in Akron. The Rev. Burl Ratzsch will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today in the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tucker, the former Cora Belle Frager, was born Nov. 1, 1887, in Plymouth County where she lived most of her life.

She married W. P. Tucker Dec. 24, 1906, at Madison. He died in 1977.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Baptist Women’s Missionary Society and the Akron Senior Citizen’s Club.

Survivors include three sons, Emery of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Robert and Ellis, both of Akron; four daughters, Grace Blankenburg of Benson, Ariz., Virginia Swift of Tombstone, Ariz., Ruby and Dorothy Brown, both of Akron; four sisters, Florence Nelson, of North Platte, Neb., Edna Elshang of Howard, S.D., Mary NcNeil and Susie Bahr, both of Madison; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 15 great great-grandchildren.
