MRS. JOHN HAAGE

Mrs. John Haage, 83, of LeMars, died Friday (Oct. 23, 1981) at her farm home near LeMars of an apparent heart attack.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston township, rural Akron.

Rev. Robert Kruempel officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

There was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Mauer funeral home.

Mrs. Haage, the former Sena Margaret Cassens, was born Sept. 14, 1898, in rural LeMars to John F. and Eva Ludwigs Cassens.

She was married Feb. 14, 1917 in LeMars.

She was a lifelong Plymouth county resident and a homemaker. Mr. Haage died in 1966.

Survivors are four sons, William, Harvey, and Norman, all of LeMars and Arnold of Glassford, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Haage was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston township and the American Lutheran Church women.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Elmer; two brothers, Henry and John Cassens, and a sister, Elizabeth Renken.
