Mrs. Leroy Heiden

MERRILL, Iowa—Mrs. Leroy Heiden, 86, of Merrill, died Thursday in a hospital at LeMars.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. John American Lutheran Church at Merrill. The Rev. Harold Norheim will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Heiden, the former Elsie Epling, was born Dec. 13, 1893, in Lincoln township, Plymouth County and was a lifelong area resident.

She was married June 11, 1913, in rural Merrill. They retired to Merrill in 1948. Mr. Heiden died in June of 1964.

She was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pete (Evelyn) Bock of LeMars, Mrs. Donald (Gladys) Stuart of Sioux City and Mrs. William (Verda) Delperdang of Merrill; three sons, Dwight of Sioux City, Mainard of Durango, Colo., and Harold of Sergeant Bluff; 19 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
