SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: 1ST: Martha Paulsen, Jan. 3, 1935, Kingsley, Iowa. She died Oct. 26, 1992.
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: 2ND: Dolores Woll, April 8, 1994, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, LeMars, Iowa
OCCUPATION: After working construction and operating a gas station in Kingsley, he went to work for Iowa Public Service at Sloan, Iowa, in 1943, transferring to Moville in 1947, to LeMars in 1951, and worked in the company’s headquarters in Sioux City from 1971 until his retirement in 1977. He served on the LeMars City Council from 1966 to 1973 and was mayor from 1978 to 1987. He was past president of the Northwest Mayors Association, was a board member and past president of the League of Iowa Municipalities and served two years on the Advisory Board of Small Cities for the National League of Cities.
SURVIVORS: include his wife, Delores, of LeMars; three sons; two daughters; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael, of Carroll, Iowa; a sister, Catherine Morgan of LeMars; six step children.
