OCCUPATION: She worked for several years for Burg Co., JC Penney Co., and Schnider-Bowers, all department stores in LeMars. She then moved to Omaha, Neb., where she worked until returning to LeMars in 1949 to help care for her parents. She was employed at Archie’s Waeside Steakhouse & Lounge in LeMars as a bartender for 36 years.
SURVIVORS: include a nephew, John Hettwer of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a niece, Claudette Hummel of Sioux City; four great nieces and one great nephew.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: three brothers, Joe, John and Fritz.
