Justine Eufers, 93, of Le Mars, died Saturday May 31, 2003, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Mrs. Eufers was born October 26, 1909, on a farm near Oyens, the daughter of John and Margaret (Schroeder) Bruscher. She grew up near Oyens and attended St. Catherine's Parochial School. On January 20, 1934, she married Charles Eufers at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens. For many years the couple worked for farmers in the Oyens and Struble areas. In 1950 they moved to LeMars where she began working at the Kohout Cap Factory where she was employed until her retirement in 1972. Charles passed away in 1973. She has resided at The Abbey in LeMars since 1996.

Survivors include three children: Darlene and Marvin Kunkel, Remsen; Nick and Sally Eufers, Ocean Park, WA; and Charles and Susan Eufers, LeMars; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. James Tigges presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.

Friends may call anytime after 3 p.m. today (Monday) at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars. A Parish rosary will be held at 4 p.m. and the Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
