LE MARS, Iowa—Lois E. Cooper, 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of LeMars, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars with the Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mrs. Cooper, the former Lois Edith Mitchell, was born April 23, 1920, in Ireton, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Helen (Grau) Mitchell. She attended high school in Ireton and lived in LeMars, in Minnesota, and in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married Cecil Cooper Oct. 27, 1990, in LeMars.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil; two daughters and their husbands, Pat and Tom Lammers of Dyersville, Iowa, and Vicki and Tom Fischer of LeMars; two sons and their wives, Ron and Karen Detloff and Randall and Paulette Detloff, all of LeMars; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Detloff of LeMars; five stepsons, Stephen Cooper of Lowell, Mich., Dan Degner of California, Neal Degner of St. Louis, Mo., and Richard Degner, of Ankeny, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Vicki Livermore of Sioux City; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Neva and Norm Marienau of Ireton, Iowa; and a brother and his wife, Keith and Lois of Hawarden, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Detloff; her husband, Elmer Degner; and two brothers.
