HENRY G. BORCHERS

Henry Gerhard Borchers, 69, a Plymouth County native, died Sunday (Sept. 7, 1975) at his home at rural Akron after an illness of one year.

He was a retired farmer and cattle feeder and a lifelong resident of the county.

Mr. Borchers resided in his present farm for the last 43 years. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He was born Oct. 30, 1905, in Liberty township near Merrill, to Lewis W. and Emma Collman Borchers.

His marriage to Johannah Haage took place July 13, 1930, in Preston Township, rural Akron.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. James Sandvik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Johannah, a son, Marlin Borchers, both of rural Akron; a daughter, Mrs. Merlyn (JoAnn) Oltmanns, LeMars; five grandchildren; a brother, William Borchers, LeMars, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Noble, Ireton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
