CORA BAUERLY

Mrs. Cora M. Bauerly, 100, Sunrise Manor, Sioux City, died Saturday (March 6, 1982) at the nursing home after a long illness.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic church. Rev. Frank J. Brady officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery at Ellendale.

Mrs. Bauerly, the former Cora M. VanDusen, was born April 21, 1881, in Perry township, Plymouth county.

She married John J. Bauerly Oct. 28, 1902, in Sioux City and they farmed near Merrill for several years.

After retirement, they lived in LeMars before moving to Sioux City in the 1940’s. Mr. Bauerly died March 27, 1948.

Mrs. Bauerly was a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic church in Leeds and the altar society of the church. She was a member of Immaculate Conception church.

Survivors are a son, Clifford, of Bronson; a daughter, Mrs. Ina M. Blum of Sioux City; 26 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
