William Tucker

William Pearl Tucker, 92, died Sunday (June 19, 1977) at an Akron hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist church. Rev. Leslie Williams will officiate. Burial will be at the Riverside cemetery.

There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Schroeder funeral home.

Mr. Tucker was born Nov. 26, 1884 in Plymouth county. He married Cora Belle Frager in 1906 at Madison, S. D.

He was a lifelong farmer in the Akron area until retiring to Akron in 1946. He was a director of the Portland township school board and was on the Akron election board for many years.

Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Grace Blankburg (sic--Blankenburg) of Benson, Ariz., Mrs. Rubie (sic--Ruby) Brown and Mrs. Dorothy Brown, both of Akron, and Mrs. Virginia Swift of Tombstone, Ariz.; three sons, Emery of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Robert and Ellis both of Akron; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lottie Royer of Blue Earth, Minn., and Mrs. Leon Jenkins of Winnebago, Minn.
