Mrs. Will Werth Claimed By Death
Resident of Plymouth County In Girlhood

Mrs. W. J. Werth, well known resident of Plymouth county since girlhood, died Wednesday at her home, 421 Second Avenue.

Maggie Reints, daughter of William H. Reints and Hilka Reints was born February 3, 1874, near Foreston, Ill. She came to Stanton township, Plymouth county, in 1885 and since that time she had made her residence in Plymouth county. Her marriage to William Werth took place on April 24, 1900.

They established their home on a farm in Union township and continued to make it their home and in 1912 they came to LeMars. She was a member of Hildreth Memorial Evangelical church, having joined the church in 1913 under the ministry of Rev. Thomas Koch.

Because of her failing health it was necessary that she and her husband leave the farm. Since that time she had been a frequent sufferer and during the last few years she has been under constant medical attention. A year ago her condition became so serious it was thought she could not survive but good care and constant attention made it possible for her to recover in part. Her death came quite suddenly on December 13 as her husband was attending her. She had been in fair health but her weakened condition was apparent to those who were caring for her.

She is survived by her husband, William Werth, and two brothers, Miles Reints, of LeMars and John, a large number of nephews and nieces Reints, of Newkirk, Oklahoma, and many, many friends.

Mrs. Werth was a faithful wife and a loyal friend. She was especially appreciative of her old neighbors and friends with whom she had been reared and their visits were always welcomed. Her long years of suffering and ill health were a burden, which was probably far heavier than anyone knew except her husband. Following her last illness she seemed to bear these things with greater strength and patience.

The funeral services will be held at Hildreth Memorial Evangelical church on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. under the supervision of the pastor, Rev. G. O. Thompson. Burial will be in the LeMars cemetery.
