HENRY DEITERMANN

LUVERNE --- Funeral services will be held here Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine’s church for Henry Deitermann, 80, who died Tuesday night at a Sioux Falls hospital.

The Rt. Msgr. Michael Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, with the Holm Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Deitermann was born Feb. 17, 1886, in Caroll County, Iowa. He and Anna Kirpes were married Jan. 24, 1912, at Remsen, Iowa, where he was rural mail carrier.

He farmed in Iowa for several years before coming to Minnesota in 1924, farming in Pipestone County for eight years and in Beaver Creek Township until his retirement in 1947. He had since lived at Luverne.

He is survived by one son, Cyril, Luverne; and seven daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Beelmann (Gloria), Mrs. Herbert Ahrendt (Esther), and Mrs. Charles Van Belle (Janella), Luverne; Mr. Roy Herrmann (Elnora), Pipestone; Mrs. Leonard Steinhoff (Martha), Magnolia; and Mrs. Burdelle Willers (Angeline), and Mrs. Allen Willers (Lillian), Beaver Creek.

He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Barney, Geddes, S.D.; and one sister, Mrs. Louis Deitering, Richmond, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aug. 26, 1955; one son; three brothers; four sisters and two grandchildren.
