LILLIAN ANDERSON
Lillian V. Anderson, 99, Good Samaritan Center, Canistota, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, at the nursing home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Morningside Funeral Home with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at Merrill, Iowa. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson, the former Lillian Dennler, was born Nov. 19, 1895, in Merrill and attended school at Merrill. She married Axel “Pat” Anderson Aug 9, 1950, in Lawton, Iowa. He died in 1975 in Sioux City. She lived most of her life in Sioux City before moving to Canistota several years ago.
Mrs. Anderson was a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, Eugene Zunkel, of Canistota; a sister, Gladys Buehre of LeMars, Iowa; several stepgrandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
