DIES IN SOUTH DAKOTAMrs. James Gunderson, 52, a former resident of Plymouth county, died Sunday, Dec. 7, at a Yankton hospital after a three year illness. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 11, at Mission Hill, S.D.
Mrs. Margaret Darville Gunderson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Darville, was born May 24, 1900, in Plymouth county. She attended the LeMars public schools and after graduation taught school. She taught the Center School in Fredonia township for three years and lived in the Albert Lundgren home.
She was married in Meckling, S.D., to James Gunderson. They farmed near Meckling before moving to the Mission Hill vicinity in 1940.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Donald and Robert. Also five sisters, Mrs. Irving (Helen) McArthur and Mrs. Vern (Ethel) Burris, Sioux City; Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) McArthur, Mrs. Harvey (Cerelle) Buss, LeMars; and Mrs. Edward (Edith) Kromrey, Middleton, Wis. Two brothers, Oscar Darville, Kennewick, Wash., and John Darville, Sacramento, Calif.
