Pauline Louise Juhl, 90, of Le Mars and formerly of Remsen, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at Park Place Estates in Le Mars.

Pauline Louise Juhl was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Liberty Township, rural Sioux City, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Asplund) Anderson.

Pauline was raised and educated in the Sioux City area, graduating in 1933 from Sioux City Central High School. She then attended cosmetology school in Sioux City graduating in 1936, and worked as a beautician in the Sioux City area. On Dec. 8, 1948, she married Lyle Juhl at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen. The couple farmed in Fredonia Township for 30 years. In 1978 they retired and moved to Merrill. Lyle died Aug. 26, 1988.

Pauline continued to live in Merrill until October 2002 when she moved to Park Place Estates in Le Mars.

She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Fred and Terrie of Papillion, Neb., and Rick and Mary Kay of Le Mars; six grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Eric and his wife Carol, Andy, Nikki and Austin; three great-grandchildren, Megan, Josh, Jordan; and two sisters-in-law, Emma Anderson of Hinton and Helen Anderson of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Ray Juhl in infancy; three brothers, Wallace, Alfred and Charles Anderson; and two sisters, Edith Brown and Judith Anderson.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen with the Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen City Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. today (Monday) at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen.

Pallbearers will be Fred, Rick, Eric, Andy, Matthew, Ryan, Austin and Nikki Juhl.
