MRS. PEARL POLLOCK
Mrs. Pearl Pollock, 68. A resident here since 1954, died Sunday afternoon at her home from a heart attack.
Mrs. Pollock was born February 20, 1895, in Union county, S. D., and moved to Akron, Ia., as a small child. She was married to Max Pollock February 13, 1913, at Akron.
She was a member of Riverside Methodist church and Silver chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She was a former employee at Methodist hospital who retired three years ago.
Survivors include the widower, three sons, Randall of Sioux City, Vincent of Kenosha, Wis., and Gordon of Seoul, Korea, and four grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Berkemier funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Pollock, 68, who died Sunday will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Methodist church. Rev. Harley E. Carbough will officiate, with burial in Riverside cemetery at Akron, Ia., under direction of the Berkemier funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ed Rochester, Pete Vlaanderen, Charles Hoeboom, Donald Lewis, Robert Tucker and Lyle Jacobs.

Heart Attack Fatal To Esteemed Former Akron Resident
The many local friends regret to learn of the passing of Mrs. Max Pollock at her home in Sioux City, Sunday, June 16, following a heart attack, at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 27 days.
Pearl Seamands, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Seamands, was born February 20, 1895, in Union county, S. D., and came TO Akron with her parents as a small child. She was united in marriage with Max Pollock, February 12, 1913, and they continued to reside here until moving to Sioux City in 1954, when Mr. Pollock began operating a filling station in North Riverside. Mrs. Pollock was employed at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City until retiring three years ago. They were the parents of three sons.
Mrs. Pollock was for many years a member of Akron Methodist church and of Vesper Chapter, No. 61, O. E. S, of Akron and more recently of Riverside Methodist church and Silver Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, in Sioux City. She was held in high regard for her friendly nature and kind personality and a host of friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
Survivors include her husband, Max; three sons, Gordon, in U.S. army service in Korea; Vincent of Kenosha, Wis., and Randall, of Sioux City, and four grandchildren.
