Note: His wife's maiden name was Ogden but he married her when she was Mrs. Chase.

Akron lost a well known and respected citizen in the death of Curtis B. Bean who passed away at 3:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 1923, after an illness of four months from hardening of the arteries and other complications resulting from portal cirrhosis.

He was 74 years of age the 25th of July.

Mr. Bean was a native of New Hampshire.

He is survived by a wife and several sons and daughters.

Funeral services were conducted in the family home by Rev. G. J. Poppenheimer of the M. C. church Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
