JOHN H. LAMBERT
AKRON, Iowa – Special Funeral services for John H. Lambert, 69, Route 2, Le Mars, who died Thursday in Sioux City hospital after a brief illness, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wesley Methodist Church here.
The Rev. Donald Roberts of Akron and the Rev. Rex Douglas of Le Mars will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Akron under the direction of the Berkemier-Rossow Funeral Home.
Mr. Lambert was born Oct. 2, 1894, in Chicago. He farmed in the Akron area from 1912 to 1940 when he moved to the Le Mars community. He retired about a year ago. He married Lyma Harkness in White Creek, Wis., Feb. 10, 1916. He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church of Akron.
Survivors include the widow; three sons, John Lambert Jr., and Ralph of Le Mars and Robert of Merrill, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Amelia Henrich of Akron; four brothers, Jacob of Adams, Wis., Peter of Portage, Wis., Louis of Poynette, Wis., and Joseph of Akron; a half-brother, John Joshua in Illinois; a sister, Miss Mary Lambert of Lt. Louis; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
