Donna Jean Boyer passed away on February 28, 2016, in Tucson, Ariz.

Graveside burial services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Akron, Iowa, at a later date.

Donna (Andresen) Boyer, daughter of Andrew and Emma (Hilrichs) Andresen was born December 12, 1937, in Plymouth County Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron.

She attended Chatsworth grade school and graduated from Hawarden High School in 1955. She worked as a retail clerk at the dime store and the dry cleaners in Akron until she married Eldon Boyer on November 11, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

At Trinity, she sang in the choir and taught both Sunday and Bible School. She and Eldon farmed in the Akron area until they moved to Akron in 1970. They moved to Tucson, Ariz. in 1985, where she belonged to Calvary Lutheran Church and recreational card clubs.

She is survived by her husband Eldon, Tucson, Ariz., one son, James and daughter-in-law Un Chu (Edwards Air Force Base, California), one grandson, Samuel, one sister and brother-in-law Lois (Norman) Heeren, Akron, Iowa, one nephew, two nieces, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dolores, in infancy, one niece and one nephew, in infancy, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
