Duane Millan Wetrosky, 64, Le Mars, a former retired Akron farmer, died Jan. 15, 1991, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Pastor David Kramer officiated. Burial was in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery, under direction of Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Mr. Wetrosky was born July 23, 1926, in Le Mars to Arthur and Clara Buehre Wetrosky. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1943. He moved to the Akron vicinity in 1950. He married Patricia Laddusaw, ay 15, 1951, at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in Le Mars. The couple farmed near Akron until retiring in 1987. The family moved to Le Mars in September 1990.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia, of Le Mars; two sons, David and his wife, Marsha of Nebraska City, Neb., and Greg and his wife Lori of Akron; a daughter, Karen and her husband, Harold Peters of Le Mars; one sister, Marlys Farley of Durango, Col.; two grandchildren, Trudy and Cory Wetrosky; two step-grandchildren, Jamie and Nathan Vander Helm of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Jim Farley.
