LE MARS, Iowa - Gary Wayne Rohlf, 65, of Sioux City, formerly of Le Mars, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars, with the Rev. Lynn Potter, of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the American Legion Wasmer Post 241 of Le Mars. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rohlf was born March 27, 1932, near Harris, Iowa, the son of William and Grace (Bowles) Rohlf. He graduated from Lake Park High School at Lake Park, Iowa. He later graduated from Drake University in Des Moines with a degree in business administration.

He married Kathryn Rausch on March 27, 1953, in Washington D.C. The couple lived in Le Mars for many years. He was employed as an insurance adjuster with Insurance Company of North America, Joe Morton Insurance, Milwaukee Insurance, Grinnell Mutual Insurance and with IBP as the insurance administrator. She died December 1990.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Le Mars.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Mark and Mary Ann of Sioux City and William and Lisa-Marie of West Des Moines; a daughter and her husband, Debra and Michael Delaney of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren; a brother, Weldon of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two sisters, Jean Hein of Hartley, Iowa and Joyce Beckley of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.
