Gertrude Vanhouten, 85, of Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Schaller, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Abbey of Le Mars.

A Prayer Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Reverend Jason Larson of the United Methodist Church of Le Mars, Iowa will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation will be from noon until the service time on Friday at the funeral home.
