CLAIMED BY DEATH DURING THE WEEK

Otto Buehre

This paper made a brief mention last week of the death of Otto F. Buehre at his home in this city on Tuesday, December 20, 1932, after a brief illness of heart trouble, aged 72 years and 4 months.

Otto Fred Buehre was born in Lake County, Indiana, August 20, 1860, where he spent the earlier years of his life. He was joined in marriage with Miss Sophia Steuber in Cook County, Illinois, February 24, 1888, and in March of that year they came to live on a farm in Johnson township, Plymouth county. They made their home there until they retired from active farm life and on March 1, 1919, moved to Akron, where he spent the remainder of his life.

He leaves besides his widow, two sons, Alfred and Herbert both on farms east of aKron; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Klemme, of Akron, and Mrs Louise Elting, of Oak Park, Ill., and a brother, Henry Buehre, of Le Mars, Iowa, and severa grandchildren and other relatives. While a youth in Lake county, Indiana, he was confirmed as a member of the German Evangelical church.

Many friends will feel the loss of a man whose quiet and unobtrusive life had been one of a home-lover and a kind neighbor and the memory of the husband and father who made a home among us in western Plymouth county for over forty-four years will not be soon be obliterated. To the bereaved widow children and grandchildren the sympathy of the community is extended.

Funeral services were hed last Thursday afternoon in the First Baptist church, conducted by Rev. R. E. Brown, the pastor. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
