HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO AKRON MAN SATURDAY

Last Rites Are Held Tuesday Morning For Lester Heyl

Lester Heyl departed this life at his home last Saturday, August 3, about 3:55 p.m. as the result of a stroke. He was 54 years, 10 months, 19 days of age.

Lester Wesley Heyl was born September 15, 1903, in the Akron vicinity in Plymouth County. He was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran church and was confirmed in 1926. At the time of his passing he was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Akron.

He spent all of his life in Plymouth County farming and trucking, and for the past two years he drove a school bus for the Akron Public School. On February 18, 1925, he was married to Miss Wilma Herzig.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; his son, George, who is in the Armed forces, stationed at Wiesbaden, Germany; his nine daughters, Mrs. Lois Kosse, of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Wilma Smith, of Alcester, S. D.; Mrs. Valda Cosgrove, of Lincoln, Nebr.; Mrs. Janet Crimsley, of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Wakeman of Akron; JoEllen and Margaret of Sioux City, Cheryl Ann and Carla Jean at home; his mother, Mrs. Sophie Heyl, Akron; his two brothers, Ralph, of Le Mars, and Clark, of Akron and Mrs. Iona Baldwin, of Akron and Mrs. Alma Farmer, of Huntington Park, Calif., and many other relatives, besides his many, many friends.

An infant son, his father and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tuesday forenoon, with Pastor David J. Roy, officiating. Mrs. Milton Anderson was soloist and was accompanied by Mrs. Stuart Harris organist, as she sang "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and " I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say."

Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
