Richard G. Dobbert

Richard G. Dobbert, 54, of Cashmere, Wash., formerly of Akron, died unepectedly Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Wash.

Graveside services were held at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa with the Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion Hoschler Post 186 of Akron. Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron were in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dobbert was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Glenwood, Minn., the son o Leland and Clara Osborne (nee) Dobbert. He graduated from Alcester (S.D.) High School in 1962.

He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1964 and served as an aircraft mechanic in Vietnam. He was employed in the fruit orchards of Washington state for many years.

Survivors include two sisters and their husbands, Sally and Robert Vreugdenhil of Alcester and Deanna and Dave Allen of Springfield, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sharon Dobbert Tester: and a brother Dann.
