Anna Belle Harkness

Anna Belle harkness, 75, of Denver, Colo. formerly of Akron, died Sunday Aug. 15, 1993, at Denver after a long illness.

Services were held Thursday, Aug. 19 at First Church of Christ in Akron with Edward Sneed officiating. Frances Mackey was the soloist and Diane Sneed was the organist.

Casketbearers were Michael Hughes, Steven Caskey, don Caskey, James Hughes, Doug Caskey, and Dick Caskey.

Mrs. Harkness was born March 24, 1918, in Akron, Iowa, to Charles Sr., and Carrie (Burtton) Caskey. She married William Harkness July 18, 1936, in Elk Point, S. D. They lived in the Akron and Sioux City areas before moving to Denver in 1977.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Jack and Arlene Harkness of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, Wayne and Rexine Harkness; one sister, Mrs. James (Bernice) Hughes of Sioux City; two brothers, Eldon Caskey of Sioux City, and Harold Caskey of Elk Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Charles Jr., Harley, Raymond, Freeman, Arden, Dwaine, and DArrel; and two sisters, Ollie Peck, and Myrtle Talbott.
