Albert C. Witt

Albert C. Witt, 82, Akron, died Thursday (Nov. 19, 1981) in the Akron nursing home after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m Sunday in Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Organist was Pam Richards, who accompanied Daryl Siebens and Arlin Milbrodt, as they sang "Softly and Tenderly". The congretational hymn was "What A Friend We Have in Jesus". Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Greg Ebersol, Charles Egeland, Roger Frerichs, Allan Witt, John Luschen and Clarence Kallsen.

Mr. Witt was born Nov. 22, 1898, at Akron. He married Frances Smith, Jan. 26, 1929, at Akron. He was a lifelong Portlaned township farmer, retiring to Akron in 1980. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

He is survived by his wife, Frances of Akron; one son, Robert and his wife Joyce, of Rock Rapids, two grandsons, Bryan and Bradley; one brother, R. G. of Akron; and a sister, Mrs. John (Alma) Harms of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Richard in 1980.
