Mrs. Arlo (Wilma) Rozell

Mrs. Arlo (Wilma) Rozell, 74, of Akron, died July 1, 1993, at the Akron Care Center after a long illness.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15 at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Allen Bidne will officiate. Bob Brown, soloist, will sing "How Great Thou Art" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", accompanied by Marietta Nielsen, organist. Congregational humns are "What A Friend" and "Beautiful Saviour". Burial will be in Riverside cemetery in Akron.

Pallbearers will be Elmo Fletcher, Arvin Finzen, Melvin Hitzemann, Shane Hoepner, Devin Hoepner, and Roger Frerichs.

Honorary bearers are Naomi Fletcher, Audrey Ericson, Ann Pefferman, Mona Smith, Eleanor Hitzemann, and Jan Koerner.

Mrs. Rozell, the former Wilma Reemts was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Plymouth county to Herman and Minnie, (Witt) Reemts. She attended county school in Plymouth county and the Akron High School. She married Arlo Rozell, July 21, 1944, in Akron. The couple farmed their entire married life near Akron in Union county, South Dakota.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, where she was a member of the Martha circle. She was a past PTA member.

Survivors include her husband, Arlo of Akron; one daughter, Donna and her husband, Al Hoepner of Hancock, Iowa; two sons, Dennis and David and his wife Susie, all of Akron; four grandsons, Shane and Devin Hoepner of Hancock, and Joshua and Jeffrey Rozell of Akron; and one sister, Ella Frerichs of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
