Thursday afternoon, at two o'clock, occurred the funeral of Mr. John Shearer. Rev. Fort preached the funeral sermon. The interment was in the Akron cemetery.

John Shearer was born in Ohio, February 26, 1815, and died January 21, 1896, being nearly 81 years of age.
