Edo A. Harms

Edo. A. Harms of 4300 Madison Street. Sioux City. died at the Leeds Nursing home April 4, 1959 at –the age of 94. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Harms was born March 20, 1865 in Germany and came to the United States at the age of 18. He farmed in Plymouth county until 13 years ago when he moved to Sioux City. His parents were the late Jurgen Harms and Kempke Eden Harms. Mr. Harms and Nettie Schultz were married July 5, 1899 in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday. April 7, 1.959 at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary , Lutheran church, Sioux City with Rev. John Dettering officiating and burial will be in the Le Mars City cemetery under direction of the Luken funeral home in Le Mars, Remains will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and the casket will be open until 1 p.m.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters; Mrs. A. J. Bowers, and Mrs. Oliver Ruhlow of Sioux City; Mrs. Paul Briley of North Hollywood, California; Mrs. Casper Brunstedt of Merrill: four sons, George, Charles and Albert of Sioux City; Fred of Los Angeles; a brother, Siebel Harms of Le Mars; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
