Arthur F. Klave

Arthur F. Klave, 76, Akron, died at Marian Health Center hi Sioux City June 24, 1991 of a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27 at Trinity Lutheran church in Hawarden. The Rev. Warren Vogeler will officiate. Soloist, Gary Tucker will sing "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" and "One Day At A time". Organist is Julie Hummel. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery in Akron, under direction of the Schroeder funeral home. Friends may call the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with family present from 7 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers are Doug Watkins, Bill Rabey, Doug Twedt, Larry Van Wyhe, Dale Van Wyhe, and Jim Van Wyhe.

Mr. Klave was born July 9, 1914 to Rudolph and Theda (Johnson) Klave in Sioux County, near Hawarden, Iowa. He married Evelyn Hedden Sept. 30, 1940, in Hawarden. They farmed in the Akron area and in Union county, S.D. until 1966, when they moved to Akron. He worked for a local farmer and at Higman Sand and Gravel until retiring in 1977.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Akron; three sons, Ronald and his wife, Long, of Rio Rancho, N.M., Barry and his wife Jeanne of Akron, and Arvin of Sioux Center; seven grandchildren, Corey Klave of Akron, Brian Klave of Omaha, Jip, Jaa, Chris, Ronald Jr., and Timothy Klave, all of Rio Rancho; two sisters, Mary Johnson and Esther Watkins and her husband, Truman, all of Hawarden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Keith; three brothers, Onnie, Burt, and Rudy; and five sisters, Sophia, Lena, Annie, Lizzie and Martha.
