Allen Emmet Semple, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Semple was born 8th of June, 1917, and died February 20, 1918. He was taken ill the Saturday before his death with a cold.

On Monday the doctor was called and on Tuesday morning he pronounce it pneumonia. All that loving hands could do was done for the darling babe, but without avail and on Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock he passed away.

He was bright and loving little child, with a smile for everyone and will be greatly missed by the father, mother, brothers and sisters.

Funeral service were conducted at the family home south of town, Saturday afternoon by Rev. W. W. Tyrell, of the Akron M. E. church interment in Riverside cemetery.
