Annette Held, 79, of Hinton, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 in Le Mars.
Annette was born on July 9, 1933, the daughter of Ray and Jeannette (Madigan) Copper and grew up in Omaha, Neb.
She graduated from South Omaha High School in 1951 and moved to Hinton in 1953 after marrying Eugene Held, beginning a 53-year partnership in life, farming and photography. Together they touched hundreds of families throughout the region as they photographed weddings, family reunions, graduations, Plymouth County Fair grand champions and other events. Both were lifetime supporters of 4-H and active in Farm Bureau. Gene died in October 2006.
Survivors include son Kevin, of Hinton and daughter Kirsten, of Madison, Wis.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hinton United Methodist Church with Pastor Kolleen Queener officiating. Private graveside services will be in Floyd Valley-Melbourne Cemetery, rural Hinton. Visitation with the family present will be 6-8 p.m. today (Monday) and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
