DEATH SUMMONS ESTEEMED AKRON WOMAN SUNDAY

Last Rites Are Held Tuesday Afternoon For Mrs. E. Brundeen

Mrs. Edith T. (Robert) Brundeen, a well-known and esteemed resident, passed away at the Akron Hospital, Sunday morning, after a two years' illness, aged lift years, 7 months and 13 days.

Edith Erickson was born October 30, 1893, in Plymouth county, Iowa, and grew to womanhood here. On October 17, 1926, she was confirmed as a member of Immanuel Lutheran church of Akron. She was active in the church's organizations, including the Ladies' Aid and (Women's Missionary Society, and more recently of Immanuel Augustana Lutheran Church Women. On June 2, 1015, she was united in marriage with Robert Brundeen, and two sons and one daughter were born to them. Her husband preceded her in death in January, 1935. A daughter, Elvera, preceded her in death, also a son, Arthur, who gave his life in the service of his country as he participated in the invasion of Europe on D-Day of World War II, on June 12, 1944.

Mrs. Brundeen was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Gold Star Mothers. Known For her cheerful, friendly nature and Denial personality, she will be missed by her many friends.

Left to mourn her departure are her son, Donald, and sister, Mrs. Olga Anderson, of Akron, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Immanuel Lutheran church, Pastor David J. Roy officiating. Mrs. Stuart Harris was soloist and Mrs. Henning Shoulberg was accompanist. Pallbearers were Ernest Anderson, Fred Claesson, William Nystrom, John Frisk, Eric Olund and William Kiewel. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
