Remsen News. The young wife of farmer August Steffen died October 19. We sincerely condole with the bereaved husband. – Le Mars Globe, Friday, Oct 28, 1892, page 1.

Note: Augusta was born Feb 9, 1866; and she died Oct. 19, 1892. They had two daughters: Dora, born Oct. 27, 1889 and Ella, born Dec . 13, 1891. The young girls were raised by Augusta’s parents, the Falkes. August Steffen married again to Fredericke Nagel on Nov 26, 1894.
