Emma M. Waterbury
Emma M. Waterbury, 81, Akron, died Thursday, March 21, 1991 at the Hawarden Community hospital.
Funeral-services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Allen Bidne officiated. Nancy Reoh, vocalist sang "Take My Hand Precious Lord", accompanied by Mrs. Don Hummel, organist. Congregational hymns were "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art", Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of Schroeder funeral home in Akron.
Pallbearers were Rod Reoh, Floyd Waterbury, Jr., Kenneth Larson, Darrell Boetger, Charlie Boetger, and Marlin Osterbuhr.
Mrs. Waterbury, the former Emma M. Osterbuhr, was born Aug. 24, 1909 at rural Brunsville to Otto and Francis Oltmanns Osterbuhr. Her marriage to R. E. (Bud) Waterbury took place July 13, 1928 at Elk Point The couple lived in the Le Mars, Alcester, Westfield and Storm Lake areas before moving.to a farm near Akron. They moved into Akron in 1960.
Mr. Waterbury died Feb. 19, 1980.
Survivors are a daughter, Jean Waterbury of Akron; a brother, John Osterbuhr of rural Brunsville and nieces and-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Albert Osterbuhr and a sister, Reaka Oltmanns.
