Services Friday For Aged Merrill Pioneer

Barbara Barnett Greenwood Died Monday Morning following Heart Attack

Mrs. Barbara Barnett Greenwood, pioneer resident of Plymouth County, died at her home early Monday morning of a heart attack.

Mrs. Greenwood, was born in 1865 at Klosters Switzerland. She came to this country when 16 years old and to Le Mars at the age of 18.

In 1883 she was united in marriage to Frank Albright. To this union seven children were born.

Mr. Albright passed away in 1895. In 1898 she was united in marriage to Hiram Greenwood and to this union three children were born.

Surviving are the widower, Hiram; four sons, William, Frank, and George of Merrill, Edward of Sioux City; five daughters, Mrs. Bernard Cumihow, Mrs. Will Epling, and Emma of Merrill; Mrs. Joe Lucey and Mrs. Walter Berger of Hinton; one son, John preceded her in death; 16 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Anna of Switzerland, and a niece, Mrs. Barbara Wright of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church in Merrill with Rev. Mr. Kirby officiating. Burial will be made in the Merrill cemetery with Mauer's funeral directors in charge.
