Service Tuesday for Marion Dorr.
Marion William Dorr, 82, of rural Remsen, died Thursday, July 25, 1991 at Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars, after a short illness.
The body was cremated. Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Marcus. Pastor Daniel George of Peace Lutheran Church, Marcus, officiated. The Moeller Funeral Home of Remsen was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dorr was born Dec. 25, 1908 in Marcus, the son of Henry Sr. and Barbara (Nagel) Dorr. He graduated from Marcus High School and attended the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago for one year.
He married Lucie Siefke on Oct. 8, 1929 at St. John’s parsonage in Le Mars. She died in 1968. He farmed south of Remsen most of his life.
Mr. Dorr was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Marcus, and the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Marilyn) Waugh of Remsen; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Dorr Jr. and a sister, Mrs. Ervin (Elsa) Mayer, both of Marcus. – Remsen Bell-Enterprise
