Mrs. Gertrude L. Willenborg, 80, a former Sioux City resident, died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alex Strelinger, Elizabeth, N. J.
Mrs. Willenborg was born April 2, 1882 at Remsen. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Strelinger, include two daughters Mrs. Catherine Casner of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Marion Robey of Maquokata, Iowa, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Ahman and Mrs. Herman Koch of Sioux City; a brother, Arthur Eichhorn of Sioux Falls, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at S. Paul evangelical church at Remsen. Burial was in the Remsen cemetery under the direction of the Moeller funeral home of Remsen. – Le Mars Globe Post, Oct. 15, 1962, page 8 and Le Mars Globe Post, Oct. 15, 1962, page 2.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude L. Willenborg, 80, a former resident here who died Thursday [October 11, 1962] at the home of a daughter in Elizabeth, N. J. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Moeller funeral home here. Rev. Marion Robey of the First Baptist church at Maquoketa, Ia., will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery.
Mrs. Willenborg resided at Kansas City with another daughter. She left Remsen in 1924. She was born April 2, 1882 near Iowa City, Ia. She was married September 12, 1906 to Louis Willenborg at Le Mars, Ia. He died in 1921.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Casper of Kansas City, Mrs. Alexander Strelinger of Elizabeth, and Mrs. Marion Robey of Maaquoketa; four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Koch, and Mrs. Joseph Ahmann, both of Sioux City and a brother, Arthur J. Eichhorn of Sioux Falls. – Liong family news clipping
